Interview Coaching:
In 99% of pageants, the interview is the primary key to success. If the judges like you there, then they will likely score you higher in other competitions. You MUST do well in the interview to have a chance of winning the crown. After giving thousands of speeches, earning a BA and an MA in Mass Communication and as a collegiate public speaking professor, The Pageant Coach has the unique combination of credentials to coach you on mastering a savvy & enjoyable interviewing experience.

Paperwork:
Paperwork given to judges is of critical importance. Often a contestant 'wins' on paper before the competition even begins. As a professional writer and marketing executive, The Pageant Coach will help you ensure a solid paperwork submission.

Modeling:
Poise and stage presence are key to winning on-stage competitions, whether it is the swimsuit, sportswear or evening gown competitions. As a professional model and actress, The Pageant Coach will work with the contestant to understand how to shine on stage, both practically and mentally.

Make-Up/Hair:
Obviously, everyone has a 'good', 'better' and 'best' look. The Coach assists the contestant with all aspects of their overall "look" that is marketed to the judges while staying true to the contestant's personality and goals. Always be your BEST SELF.

Photos:
The all-important photo is what introduces the contestant to the judges before the first impression is made...so, this is actually the first impression-a very important decision. With her contacts in the DC and NY area, The Coach will advise on quality photographers, achieving charisma on camera and stylizing techniques.

Wardrobe:
Clothes send a real message; this is where the contestant relays her personality to the judges in largely subconscious ways. It is imperative that the proper, winning message is sent. With years of reading people, judging pageants and training contestants, The Coach will advise on color, cut, style, trend, appropriateness, message, tricks to disguising body areas and packaging the personality in the proper wardrobe.

Awards:
Many pageants offer 'other' awards (Talent, Miss Photogenic, Best Ad Sales). The Coach has vast experience in these areas (i.e. 20 years of classical piano, vocals) as well and will advise on a fabulous execution to win that award, too.

Overall Coaching Philosophy:
Any good coach will package the entire person, mission and message without compromising their personhood in any way. Meanwhile, the coach will enhance only the best traits of the contestant. With her years of practice on how to creatively and honestly disguise the weaknesses everyone has on stage and in interview, Heather helps to present a substantive, polished and genuine package to the judges.

"This is my passion...words cannot express how rewarding and what an honor it is to see one of my future "sisters", because of our time together, succeed in confidence for her competition...and really, for all of life."
-Heather Noelle Davis, Miss Maryland 1998
